Cool Tools From Adobe,… And They’re FREE

On January 20th, Adobe conducted a webinar at the WGK Technology Coordinator's Meeting at the PDA in Joliet.   They presented information on their new cloud computing and collaboration environment.

 

By registering for a free account at www.acrobat.com, users will gain access to Adobe’s online suite of web-based tools.  Applications include a word processor, presentation software, and spreadsheet software.  Additionally, Adobe has integrated a free version of their web-meeting software ConnectNow.  This scaled-down version allows you to invite up to two additional connections to a web-based meeting.  ConnectNow allows users to share their desktop with attendees, chat, integrate webcams, upload / share files, and dial-in to a phone conference.

 

Additionally, Adobe has launched a free cloud environment that supports photo and video editing.  Users will have to register again at www.photoshop.com to gain access to this resource.  Photoshop.com allows users to upload, edit, and share photos and video clips with other anyone who have access to the web.  Every registered user receives a personal URL to their public galleries.  Once posted, users can invite individuals to visit their gallery page.   Permissions can also be set to allow visitors to download and/or comment on the items in the gallery.
