Welcome to the IllinICE blog, a new communication tool designed to help connect all members of the Illinois Computing Educators organization who live and work in Bloomington/Normal and surrounding areas. We hope that this blog will supplement the services already being offered to members in this region and encourage members to become more active in the events and professional development opportunities that are sponsored by ICE and the local chapters.
Throughout the year, we will post announcements of upcoming events and opportunities, links to valuable resources, information about special offers, and photos of state and regional activities. Since this is an active weblog and not a static web page, you have the ability to comment on any post, add additional information, or suggest new resources that might be useful to other readers. This site is designed to facilitate lines of communication between all members, so we encourage you to participate.
You can also “subscribe” to this blog so that you are alerted when new information has been posted. Please use the tools located in the upper right corner to receive e-mail alerts or to add this RSS feed to your favorite blog aggregator utility.
The Illinois Computing Educators organization sponsors events such as the annual ICE Conference to serve educators from across the state, but much of the activity throughout the year occurs at the local chapter level. We encourage you to become active in the activities hosted by your local chapter so that you receive the most benefits that the organization has to offer!
