STEM Conference in QC Area
The Illinois Math and Science Academy will be hosting a Community STEM Conference on Tuesday January 24, 2012 (5-7 pm) at the Rock Island Center for Math and Sciences (a RISD41 grade school). This conference is open to students of all ages, educators and community members. Anyone from throughout the Quad Cities greater area is welcome to attend. IMSA is seeking presenters and attendees for this event.
In addition, Nicole Hoffman (Field Office Coordinator) at IMSA is seeking a middle to senior high school aged student to work with her on the Cool Hub as a presentation at our SIT Conference. Quad Cities area Students Involved with Technology Conference
The first annual QC SIT Conference will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2012 at Glenview Middle School in East Moline. This unique all day technology conference is for students and presented by students. Visit http://www.sitconference.org
Students Involved with Technology Conferences have been happening around the state of Illinois for more than a dozen years. This is the first time it has been brought to the greater Quad Cities area. The conference is open for all to attend, regardless of the community in which you live. We are seeking student presenters, adult mentors, student attendees and volunteers. Since this is our first of many SIT conferences, seating is limited to the first 150 students who register.
