Sometimes we’re paralyzed by too many choices.
Sometimes students get paralyzed by too many choices, or lack of opportunities or lack of support. Assessment rarely eliminates choices.
Sami Araboghli used assessment as motivation. After his first efforts for inclusion in Google Earth were not accepted he started researching ways to improve his models.
Middle school students can and will surprise you. Eighth grader Sami Araboghli of Sarasota, Florida will surprise you with his Sketchup project. He is creating models for Google Earth. He’s involved in a real-world project and he’s joined a community that shares his passion. He’s located information and tools to support his learning.
